Storage
Storage capacity at independent terminals across the ARA region.
How it works
Independent terminals, managed by Oil Trans.
Oil Trans leases storage capacity from established independent terminal operators rather than owning terminals itself. This asset-light model allows each product to be stored in the location and tank best suited to it, without tying customers to a single site.
A single agreement with Oil Trans covers the storage capacity, the required terminal services and the associated transport. The company's operations team manages all contact with terminal planners and inspectors, together with the related documentation.
Storage is available as a standalone service or in combination with product supply. A common arrangement is for customers to purchase a parcel, hold it in storage under Oil Trans management and call it off in line with their own demand.
Locations
Three ports, one point of contact.
Rotterdam
The company's principal storage location, offering deep-water access for ocean-going and coastal tankers and barge berths with direct access to the Rhine.
Amsterdam
Well suited to jet fuel and diesel, with the Amsterdam–Rhine Canal providing direct barge access to the Dutch and German inland markets.
Antwerp
Access to the Belgian and northern French markets via the Albert Canal, and an additional location for cargoes distributed across the region.
Terminal services
A full range of terminal services.
Segregated storage
Dedicated tanks holding a single product for a single owner, ensuring full segregation, which is essential for jet fuel and traceable renewable product.
Blending
In-tank blending to meet specification or seasonal grade requirements, witnessed and certified by an independent inspector.
Additive dosing
Injection of lubricity, conductivity and cold-flow additives during loading, in accordance with destination and seasonal requirements.
Heated storage
Heated and insulated tanks for residual fuels requiring temperature control to remain pumpable.
In-tank transfers
Transfer of title within the terminal's stock records without physical movement, confirmed in writing by the terminal operator.
